Assistant Workshop Manager – Hluhluwe – Limpopo

Salary: Market Related, Live in

We are looking for a Qualified Diesel or Petrol Mechanic or qualified in time (4 years +) in the trade to join the team for an award-winning game lodge in the Limpopo area. Welding and panel beating experience and at least 3 – 5 years’ experience supervising in a vehicle workshop This is a permanent position, live in (6 weeks on, 3 weeks off) and is suitable for a single person only. KEY OUTPUTS:

Fleet Management

  • To follow up on work as per vehicle inspection report sent by the lodges and H.O.D’s
  • Service Schedule
  • Services of Vehicle, Plant and Generators
  • Administration
  • Assist with Month End
  • Assist with Stock Take
  • Recharges
  • Experience with Stock Control and Accounting
  • Spares
  • Management of stores and stock.
  • Ordering of spares
  • Workshop Staff
  • Health & Safety
  • Oversee team of mechanics and daily work schedule
  • Oversee workshop operations when Manager away

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Hospitality Environment
  • The surrounding communities
  • The country & Company Knowledge ethos
  • Valid unendorsed SA driver’s license essential.
  • Qualified Diesel or Petrol Mechanic or qualified in time (4 years +) in the trade
  • Welding and panel beating experience

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Communication skills – with guests and fellow staff members
  • Standard of your work must exceed the standard of the lodge
  • Good organisational ability
  • Lateral thinking ability
  • Initiative
  • Must adhere to World Class Hospitality and Service Standards

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must have at least 3 – 5 years’ experience supervising in a vehicle workshop
