As the Service Manager, you are responsible for leading the daily operations of the propane service department, focusing on efficient and reliable propane delivery, compliance with safety standards, and exceptional customer service. Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field; specialized certification in gas/propane management or hazardous materials handling preferred.
- At least 5 years of management experience in the gas/propane or related energy sector, with a thorough understanding of NFPA 54 and NFPA 58 standards.
- Experience managing the Training Programmes for gas/propane industry personnel.
- Proven leadership skills with a history of developing skilled, safety-conscious teams.
- Deep technical knowledge of propane systems and related regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using industry-specific software and technological tools.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with customers, team members, and industry stakeholders.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean record, additional certifications for hazardous materials handling a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee scheduling and dispatching for propane deliveries, service calls, and maintenance, optimizing routes and resource allocation.
- Manage service order execution, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and timing.
- Develop and implement operational protocols and guidelines specific to gas services to enhance efficiency and standardization.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, including installations, maintenance, inventory, and customer interactions.
- Lead your team with a focus on advanced training in propane systems, customer service excellence, and rigorous safety practices.
- Conduct and oversee technical and safety training, ensuring all staff are proficient in current industry practices and safety standards.
- Administer the Certified Employee Training Programmes for all team members, ensuring certifications are up-to-date, compliant and relevant.
- Regularly evaluate team performance, establish success metrics, and provide coaching to promote professional growth.
- Drive initiatives to maximize customer satisfaction, swiftly address service issues, and build lasting relationships.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards across all service operations.
- Conduct regular safety and compliance audits, maintain strict adherence to regulations, and update protocols as needed.
- Foster a safety-first culture, organizing comprehensive training and preparedness drills.
