Learning & Development Practitioner

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Learning and Development Practitioner for a permanent position based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Gauteng. The Learning and Development Practitioner will play a pivotal role in shaping employee development across the organisation. Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license, own car
• 2+ years of work experience with Learning Management Systems
• 3+ years of experience in Training / Learning and Development
• Bonus in December that is Performance based
• Working hours – 08:00 to 16:30, Monday – Friday
• No criminal record
• Recognised qualification such as a Certificate in ODETDP or related field.
• Strong planning, organising, time, and project management skills.
• Strong background in instructional design, facilitation, and e learning tools.
• Proven ability to manage digital learning platforms (LMS experience essential) and drive adoption.

Duties:

We are looking for someone who brings both passion and expertise to the role, with the following qualities and skills:

• Design and implement impactful training programs that build skills and strengthen performance.
• Lead and manage onboarding programs, ensuring new employees are welcomed, supported, and set up for success.
• Oversee our Learning Management System (LMS), driving adoption, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Create clear, engaging instructional materials tailored to diverse audiences.
• Foster effective communication and coaching, empowering employees to take ownership of their growth.
• Support career development initiatives, helping staff reach their potential while aligning with business goals.
• Genuine enthusiasm for learning, employee development, and creating engaging training experiences.
• Experience in Training & Development, including onboarding facilitation and program management.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid understanding of adult learning principles, methodologies, and modern learning practices.
• Skilled in facilitation and presentation, with the ability to make learning impactful and memorable.
• Highly detail oriented, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Creative and innovative, able to design fresh, effective learning solutions that meet business needs.
