Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Total Quality Manager (management head) for an SME manufacturing company based in eThekwini, Durban, Kwazulu Natal. This is a permanent position based on-site.

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills

• At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
• National Diploma/Degree in Industrial /Mechanical Engineering is preferred
• Certification or qualified proficiency in well-established improvement methodologies such as QC story/Problem Solving/Six-Sigma or equivalent, TPM practices, Lean will be highly preferred
• Industry experience – Automotive, Component, Food/Production Manufacturing Environment
• Certification as auditor or assessor in any of the ISO series standards
• Ability to be self-manage and multitask
• Ability to lead and manage the performance of others
• Planning, organising, accuracy
• Communication/presentation & Interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS office
• Certification in TQM methodologies is advantageous
• Drivers License, Own reliable transport

Duties:

• To lead and implement Total Quality Management strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and services.
• The Unit TQM lead will drive a culture of quality, compliance, operational excellence within the plant and foster a culture of excellence across departments and the business unit

The TQM Lead will drive and lead TQM Implementation in all departments, to ensure:

• Involvement of all employees in TQM activities
• Achievement of functional TQM goals/ targets
• Implementation of TQM initiatives (such as 5S, Autonomous maintenance, Kaizen and TQM boards)
• Coordination and timeous reporting of progress on TQM initiatives.
• Training of employees on TQM principles, methods, systems and tools in line with company policy
• Participate in and enable deployment of business level goals to projects across functions
• Coordinate and facilitate on projects using improvement methodologies, ensure projects reporting and timelines are maintained
• Maintain IMS/FSMS system documents and reporting
• Ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards
• Report TQM status to management including Corporate HQ
